CABERG AVALON X: Technical Analysis and Features of the Sport Full-Face Helmet

The Avalon X is Caberg's full-face offering for motorcyclists seeking a sport-inspired design combined with comprehensive technical equipment. Designed with a focus on younger riders but suitable for all users thanks to the versatility of its components, this model stands out for its balance between dynamic performance and ease of use, both for short urban commutes and more demanding extra-urban routes.

Shell and Construction Structure

The Avalon X shell is made of LG CHEM HI-IMPACT ABS, a high-impact resistant thermoplastic polymer. To ensure an optimal ratio between the helmet's volume and the rider's size, Caberg has provided two shell sizes:

Small Shell: for sizes XS to M (weight 1500 +/- 50g).

Large Shell: for sizes L to XXL (weight 1550 +/- 50g).

This division helps minimize aerodynamic drag and improves static and dynamic balance, reducing neck fatigue during long trips.

Vision System and Double Visor Tech (DVT)

The visual compartment is equipped with the Double Visor Tech system, which includes:

Outer Visor: Anti-scratch treatment and ready for the insertion of an anti-fog lens (FogCity GO). The quick-release mechanism allows the visor to be removed without the use of tools.

Integrated Sun Visor: Easily operated via a side lever located on the left side, the sun visor is designed to be used effortlessly even with gloves, ensuring optimal visibility in various light conditions.

Ventilation and Interior Comfort

Air circulation is handled by an optimized ventilation system that includes abundant adjustable air intakes on the chin guard and the upper part of the shell. Hot air is expelled through extractors integrated under the rear spoiler, guaranteeing a cool and dry internal environment.

The interior is completely removable and washable, made with breathable fabrics and technical meshes. Standard equipment also includes rain profiles, a removable wind-stop (chin curtain), and a removable nose guard to adapt the helmet to different seasons.

Safety and Communication

The Avalon X is homologated according to the latest ECE 22.06 regulation. Safety tests were passed including the installation of the proprietary communication system.

Micrometric Buckle: The retention system ensures easy, safe, and fast adjustment.

Intercom Ready: The helmet features specific internal housings for speakers. It is compatible with the Caberg Pro Speak EVO communicator and the main universal communication systems on the market.

Graphic Variants and Sizes

The Avalon X range is available in several color variants, from classic solid colors (Matte Black, White) to more dynamic graphics such as GURKHA, PURE, and BRAMA, featuring neon color combinations and matte finishes.

Size Chart (Head Circumference):

    Small Shell: XS (53/54 cm), S (55/56 cm), M (57/58 cm).

Large Shell: L (59/60 cm), XL (61/62 cm), XXL (63/64 cm).

Sizing Advice and Intended Use

The Avalon X offers a precise and snug fit. Although the sizes correspond to international standards, the internal sport configuration suggests carefully checking your head circumference before purchasing. A correct fit is essential so that the micrometric protection and speaker housings are in the correct ergonomic position.

This helmet is ideal for those looking for an "all-rounder" product: safe for the city, aerodynamic for highways, and ready for modern technology without sacrificing sporty style.

Maintenance and Helmet Care

To maintain the safety and comfort properties of the Caberg Avalon X:

Visor Cleaning: Use exclusively water and neutral soap with microfiber cloths to avoid damaging the anti-scratch treatments.

Interior Washing: Hand wash or machine wash at low temperatures (max 30°C) using laundry bags for delicate items.

Mechanisms: Do not lubricate the visor mechanisms with aggressive oils; regular cleaning of dust is usually sufficient.

Important Note: This helmet is homologated for use in countries where the ECE/ONU 22.06 regulation is in force. It is not homologated for use in the USA and Canada.
