"Crazywheels" Editorial Opinions and Advice
The BMW R20 is the bike the R 18 should have been from the start: a BMW proud of its exaggerated mechanics, without an inferiority complex toward Milwaukee. Our advice is not to consider it an alternative to the R12 nineT: the R20 is a "Torque Beast," where the pleasure comes not from cornering speed, but from the brutal thrust on exit. It is a purchase for collectors and internal combustion purists. If you are looking for passenger comfort, look elsewhere; here the concept is strictly solo-seat.
