YAMAHA R9 2026 Test: Build Quality
The Yamaha R9 2026 confirms the Japanese manufacturer's pragmatic approach. Although it does not feature exotic solutions or ultra-light materials, the build quality appears solid and well-finished. The design follows the family feeling of the R-series, with well-fitted plastics and an aggressive aesthetic.
The goal of keeping the list price below the €14,000 threshold imposed some industrial choices: components such as the brake lines (not braided steel as standard) and some frame castings show a less refined finish compared to top-of-the-line models. However, the TFT instrumentation is comprehensive, and the handlebar controls are ergonomically sound and pleasant to the touch. Compared to competitors of similar power, the R9 offers a price-to-quality ratio that is hard to beat.
