Control Electronics and Track Functions
The 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) manages an electronic suite derived from the Panigale V4 experience, recalibrated for the specific dynamics of a supermotard. The controls include: Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Engine Brake Control (EBC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC).
Specialized Functions for Track Riding
Slide-by-brake (ABS Level 3): Developed to assist corner-entry drifting. When the rider operates the rear brake during corner entry, the system allows a controlled lockup and sideway slide of the rear wheel, keeping the ABS active on the front end to prevent loss of grip from the front tire.
Wheelie Assist (Paired with the Racing Exhaust): By purchasing the non-homologated track-only Termignoni exhaust separately (which increases power by 7 HP), the ECU unlocks an electronic wheelie assistance algorithm. The system maintains a constant front-wheel lift angle by modulating torque delivery based on the pitch angles detected by the IMU.
