YAMAHA TRACER 7 Y-AMT 2026 Review: Braking and Traction Control
The braking system, consisting of dual 298 mm front discs with 4-piston radial calipers, offers modular power suited to the bike's performance. The introduction of the Y-CCT electronic throttle has allowed for finer management of engine braking and Traction Control (TCS).
The TCS intervenes discreetly but effectively, especially on low-grip surfaces. The ABS is calibrated conservatively, activating somewhat early when the fork is heavily compressed. Stability during emergency braking is guaranteed by the increased wheelbase (+40 mm at the swingarm), which reduces the rear wheel's tendency to lift.
