YAMAHA TRACER 7 Y-AMT 2026 Review: Engine, Performance, and Top Speed
The beating heart remains the 690 cc CP2 parallel-twin, now Euro 5+ compliant. Despite emission restrictions, the engine delivers 73.4 HP at 8,750 rpm and 68 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The power delivery is linear and punchy in the midrange, making it one of the most enjoyable engines in its class.
Real Top Speed: During our tests, the Yamaha Tracer 7 Y-AMT reached a real top speed of approximately 192-195 km/h. While the speedometer may flirt with 200 km/h under favorable conditions, aerodynamic drag and final gearing stabilize real performance just below that mark.
Performance Comparison: Compared to more recent competitors (800 cc class), a power gap is noticeable above 150 km/h, where the pull tends to taper off.
