Braking and Traction Control
Dual 300mm front discs provide adequate deceleration for a vehicle with a curb weight of approximately 327 kg (721 lbs). The lever response is powerful but requires significant physical effort. ABS intervention is precise. The Traction Control System (TCS) is switchable and essential for managing the 117's massive torque on wet or slippery surfaces. The rear brake is equally powerful. While you won't get SBK-replica stopping distances, using the engine brake in tandem with both front and rear brakes results in incredibly short stopping distances for a bike of this mass.
