YAMAHA R9 2026 Test: Handling, Stability, and Safety
The R9 is an extremely agile motorcycle. The weight distribution makes it a "blade" during direction changes.
In the City: One suffers from the limited turning radius and sporty position, but the lightweight nature helps in traffic.
Extra-urban/Mountain Passes: This is its ideal terrain. The engine, always in its torque band, allows you to carve through corners with reduced physical effort, excellent corner entry speed, precision on fast sweepers, and quick transitions. An easy bike to ride.
Highway: Stable but not very comfortable due to limited aerodynamic protection.
In Tandem: Acceptable for the category, but the chassis feels the extra weight with the standard setup.
