The Powerplant
The side engine casings and cylinder head castings visible in the patent blueprints differ entirely from the unit currently mounted across the rest of the Keeway/Morbidelli 125cc lineup. It is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke 125cc single-cylinder engine featuring a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) 4-valve layout. Although official spec sheets have not yet been certified, its intended target within the European market dictates a strict performance ceiling: the engine will pump out the legal limit of 15 hp (11 kW) at roughly 9,500 rpm, making the bike rideable at 16 years old with an A1 license or in Italy with a standard B car license.
