2026 DUCATI MULTISTRADA V4 RALLY Review: Ergonomics and Comfort
The Rider
Ergonomics are tailored for long hauls. The seat-peg-handlebar triangle is less aggressive than the V4 S, offering a more upright position. The new Automatic Lowering Device is a revolution: it reduces the seat height (standard 870-890mm) by approximately 30mm when dropping below 10 km/h, easing foot placement for average-height riders. Nevertheless, it remains a difficult machine to manage for those under 170cm tall.
Aerodynamic Protection
The windscreen, manually adjustable with one hand, offers excellent protection. Up to motorway speeds, the rider’s helmet remains free of annoying turbulence. Side deflectors effectively shield the legs, diverting cold air flows.
Vibration and Heat
The V4 Granturismo engine is inherently balanced, with vibrations nearly imperceptible until 6,000 rpm. Ducati has also worked extensively on rear cylinder deactivation. At idle and low speeds (below 4,000 rpm), the rear bank shuts down. This drastically reduces heat transmitted to the rider in city traffic, though on summer days, radiator heat is still noticeable.
The Passenger
The passenger enjoys a wide, well-padded seat. Footpeg placement ensures knees aren't overly cramped, and integrated handles in the rear subframe provide a secure grip.
