The Route: From AlUla to the Red Sea Coast
The caravan will set off on January 1st, 2027, with the prologue in AlUla, which confirms its status as the spiritual sanctuary of the race. However, it is what happens after the first week that defines the character of this edition.
1. The First Week (The Rocky North): Stages characterized by canyons and fast tracks that are treacherous for punctures. Here, the driving precision of top-tier pilots will be vital to avoid accumulating gaps that are difficult to close once in the sand.
2. The "48h Chrono" 2.0: Following the experimental success of recent years, the 48-hour stage in the heart of the Empty Quarter is confirmed and enhanced. Pilots will be isolated from the world, sleeping in small, improvised tent camps with no external mechanical assistance and military rations.
3. The Second Week (Oceans of Sand): Giant dunes will be the absolute protagonists. Navigation will be made even more complex by the removal of many digital references in the GPS, forcing navigators to "read" the terrain as they did in the old days.
