S 1000 XR
Initial technical data points to a refinement of the street package. The engine retains its ShiftCam variable valve timing but optimizes its torque curve between 6,000 and 9,000 rpm. The declared power output will stabilize at 170 hp, accompanied by revised gearbox ratios (longer fourth, fifth, and sixth gears) to reduce vibrations and fuel consumption during highway transfers.
S 1000 RR
Previewed at the concept level, the benchmark supersport bike will undergo a deep stylistic and functional revolution. The aerodynamic winglets will be integrated directly into the lines of the side fairings to improve the drag coefficient without sacrificing front-end downforce at high speeds. Engine power will cross the 212 hp threshold at 14,500 rpm, backed by titanium intake valves supplied by Pankl.
