The stock windscreen is not very protective: while height-adjustable, cruising is pleasant only up to legal highway speeds. Beyond that, protection drops off, especially for taller or heavier riders. Aerodynamic protection is valid for a sportbike, less so for a pure touring machine, though it remains among the best sport-touring models on the market. Damping electronically varies between medium-soft and firm depending on the selected map (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Dynamic Pro). Faster riders will finally find sustained hydraulic support, with a fork that dives less during hard braking and a shock that effectively controls load transfer under throttle.

Thanks to an expanded range of adjustments—offering three firmer steps and three softer steps—both sports riding and touring comfort have been improved by choosing the softer configuration (Road -3). Note that Road+3 is always softer than DynamicPro-3, significantly widening customization options compared to the past.
