Limits and Critical Considerations
An objective analysis, essential for a correct purchase evaluation of a 40,990 euro vehicle, highlights some intrinsic limitations of the project:
- Complexity of electronic maintenance: The presence of the Öhlins EC semi-active suspension package, combined with an updated EFI management for Euro 5+, requires highly specialized workshop diagnostics. Calibration interventions and firmware updates require interfacing with the parent company's servers, limiting "do-it-yourself" maintenance or at generic workshops.
- Promiscuous use of Kit components: The Arrow exhaust and Braking Batfly discs are not homologated for road use. The user who wishes to exploit the full 208 HP must accept the burden of disassembling and reassembling the stock components, or limit usage strictly to track days.
- Exposure of carbon components: The turbofan rear wheel cover and the carbon belly pan panels are exposed to debris kicked up by the tires. The plain weave glossy finish requires additional polyurethane protective films to prevent delamination of the clear coat due to impacts from stones or damaged asphalt.
- Ergonomics and thermal dissipation: Although the Alcantara seat with 5 mm foam increases structural grip, the combination of an elongated Reach, high footpegs, and the heat generated by the inline four-cylinder enclosed between the carbon panels makes urban use particularly taxing for the rider.
