3. Chassis, Frame, and Advanced Components
The chassis of the Vision K18 abandons conventional layouts in favor of solutions derived from racing departments and applied hydraulic engineering:
- Frame and Bodywork: The load-bearing structure integrates a monobloc body painstakingly hand-beaten from aluminum, featuring a seamless side panel extending over two meters in length. The rear subframe is constructed from forged carbon, utilized to ensure high torsional rigidity and mass reduction at the tail section.
- Suspension System: The prototype is equipped with an electronically controlled adaptive hydraulic suspension featuring a millimetric lowering function (droop suspension). This system alters the vehicle's ride height statically and dynamically, optimizing the center of gravity at high speeds.
- Braking System and Component Suppliers: Although the official press release reserves comment on industrial partners, the componentry required for standardizing this level of performance entails radially mounted Brembo monobloc calipers acting on 320 floating discs.
