The six-speed transmission features short and precise throws. Even under high mechanical load without utilizing the clutch, gear engagements occur without encountering the false neutrals between fourth and fifth gear that occasionally plagued previous series. The hydraulic clutch managed by a Brembo master cylinder with a diaphragm spring adjustable to three positions shows high resistance to overheating. Lever effort is minimal, and the engagement point remains completely constant throughout the entire test session, preventing plates from swelling.
