BETA ENDURO RACE RR 300 2T 2026 Test Riding traits handling stability safety
In the city
The vehicle is completely outside its native element. The restricted steering lock and the 930 mm saddle height complicate low-speed maneuvering through tight traffic. The specialized knobby tires offer poor grip on wet cobblestones.
Extra-urban roads
The vehicle's lightness (approx. 103.5 kg dry weight) translates into lightning-fast direction changes through twisting sections. However, the lack of wind protection and short gearing limit comfort at sustained speeds above 80 km/h.
Highway
Usage is strongly discouraged. The high RPM of the two-stroke engine and the "sail effect" induced by the high front fender at elevated speeds generate chassis instability and pronounced vibrations.
Mountain passes
On twisty asphalt, the bike displays razor-sharp corner entries. The dynamic limit is dictated by the lateral flex of the enduro tire knobs and the pronounced front fork dive during hard braking weight transfers.
With a passenger
Impossible to execute due to the lack of space and vehicle homologation restrictions.
Off-road – motocross
The valving of the KYB AOS fork allows the rider to tackle amateur-level motocross tracks. Bottoming resistance on jump faces is good, though the hydraulic setup remains biased toward the compliance required for enduro rather than the stiffness necessary for pure MX.
Off-road – mule track
This is the true home of the RR 300. The chassis absorbs lateral deflections against fixed boulders without straying from the chosen line. The directional stability of the front end reduces the physical effort required by the rider to maintain a line.
Off-road – downhills
The rearward weight bias facilitates rear-end control. The excellent modulation of the Nissin front brake allows the rider to slow the vehicle's mass on extreme inclines without triggering unexpected front-end tucking.
Off-road – uphills
The torque of the 300 cc engine allows the rider to scale steep inclines while maintaining third gear. The chassis geometry limits front-wheel lift, keeping the front tire in contact with the ground to ensure positive steering input.
Off-road – hard enduro
The Racing version responds excellently to extreme technical demands. The precise engagement of the Brembo clutch and the linearity of the engine at near-idle speeds allow for clearing vertical obstacles from a standstill, benefiting from chassis reactivity during rider body English adjustments.
